The Tulsa Arts District is located in the northern section of downtown Tulsa. It is bordered by Denver on the west, Elgin on the east, the IDL (I-244) on the north and the railroad tracks on the south.
The Tulsa Arts District is one of the oldest sections of the city. It is rich with cultural icons such as the Cain’s Ballroom and the Ole Lady on Brady – now The Tulsa Theater. The buildings in the area that are still standing are primarily red brick and have been utilized as warehouses.
Over the past 20 years, the area has morphed into an eclectic collection of bars, restaurants, residences, retail, additional businesses, performance venues, museums and arts establishments. There has been some revitalization with a few buildings renovated into new office space while still remaining true to their historic past. A new baseball park—ONEOK Field is located in the Greenwood District on the east edge of the district.
The Tulsa Arts District Business Association is a group of business owners that has organized to promote the common good of all the businesses in the district per our By-Laws.
The purpose of the association is to promote the common business interests within the District, including the improvement of business conditions through advertising, beautification, public relations and special events.
