Each month, Tulsa Glitterary hosts a reading with queer writers. The March reading on Sunday, 03/27 from 7-8pm CT, both in-person and virtual formats, will feature a reading by author and Tulsa Artist Fellow Sarah Perry.Sarah Perry is the author of the memoir After the Eclipse, which was named a New York Times Book Review Editors’ Choice, Poets & Writers Notable Nonfiction Debut, and Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers pick. Perry is the recipient of a 2020-2022 Tulsa Artist Fellowship, the 2018 Betty Berzon Emerging Writer Award, and fellowships from the Edward F. Albee Foundation, VCCA, Playa, and The Studios of Key West. Originally from Maine, Perry spent ten years in the Southeast and ten years in Brooklyn, New York. Perry currently lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she is working on two books: a sequel memoir titled The Book of Regrets and a collection of one hundred short essays called Sweet Nothings.
Tulsa Glitterary, a literary organization serving LGBQT+ writers in the Tulsa region, the state of Oklahoma, and the Lower Midwest, sponsors a monthly reading series with queer writers. Readings will be in-person and accessible virtually and will take place at 7pm CST the last Sunday of each month.
